National NROTC Scholarship 

If you are interested in applying for the National NROTC  Scholarship - Navy Option or Nurse Option - accurate and timely completion of the application is crucial for its approval. For students in high school, the application process for the National NROTC Scholarship can be started as early as June between your junior and senior years.

Note: The application contains a section titled "College Preferences and Current Studies," and asks for your top five college choices. In order to maximize your chances of being assigned to the Â鶹´«Ã½ÉçÇø NROTC Unit, indicate Â鶹´«Ã½ÉçÇø as your first choice and a strong desire to attend Jacksonville.

NROTC Preparatory Program - NPP

Â鶹´«Ã½ÉçÇø's NROTC Preparatory Program (NPP) offers high school seniors the chance to complete a year of academic and military training, leading to a potential four-year NROTC scholarship.

Apply for the JU NROTC College Program if:

  • You missed the deadline for the 4yr scholarship.
  • You did not apply for the 4yr scholarship.
  • You are already a student at JU or UNF.

 

***WE HAVE ACCEPTED THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF COLLEGE PROGRAM APPLICATIONS AT THIS TIME.  WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING ANY FURTHER APPLICATION FOR THIS COMING ACADEMIC YEAR DUE TO CAPACITY LIMITATIONS.***

Once we have made our decisions on those applications we have received, we will notify those who have and have not been accepted.  Thank you for your time and consideration.

OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS FOR THE SPRING SEMESTER MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH THE APPLICATION. They can be sent via email (nrotcrecruiter@ju.edu) or by traditional mail. If using traditional mail, be sure to allow enough transit time so that they will reach the NROTC by the 31 May due date. Any application submitted will not be considered until the NROTC has received, at a minimum, the unofficial transcripts from the spring semester.

 

STA-21 and MECEP

Â鶹´«Ã½ÉçÇø NROTC hosts STA-21 Officer Candidates and Marines from the Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program. 

The application process for both programs are separate from the JU NROTC Unit and are found here:

Admission to Â鶹´«Ã½ÉçÇø

This process is separate from the NROTC scholarship application.

Students should contact the admissions office at Â鶹´«Ã½ÉçÇø for further information.

An online application for admission is available here, or you can contact the Office of Admissions for an application. Questions about the admission's process should be directed to the Office of Admissions.

Defense Medical Examination Review Board (DODMERB) Physical Exam

Scholarship applicants are required to complete a DODMERB physical exam.

Once your application has been completed, you will receive a post card from DODMERB instructing you to schedule a physical exam.

Once you have received this post card, please contact the DODMERB National Appointment Scheduling office.
